Why I Started This Blog
Updated: Oct 13, 2019

I've always been artistic. Just so happens my artistry manifested itself as poetry when I first started exploring my creative character. That was 33 years ago. We grow up fast.
Once I started painting, I knew I wanted to put my poetry to my paintings. And I will do that. I'm scheduled to start calligraphy lessons mid-April, 2019. I don't know how long it will take before I feel confident enough to write in calligraphy on my paintings, but I'm not going to let fear hold me back. Stay tuned for my art and poetry to come together, the way it should be.
But no matter what, whether I paint, whether I write, or whether I sky dive, I want all of my work to shine for Jesus Christ. I want people to be encouraged to go deeper in their relationships with him. I want people to see the love and majesty of God and to learn more about him as a result of knowing me, whether online, or in person.
My purpose in life is to share my creative endeavors in a way that helps others be the best person they can be, and to show others that the best way they can do that is by establishing a foundation with God first. When I see people, I see potential. Potential for crazy and wonderful things to be created, renewed, uplifted. Potential for artistry, skill and talent to be tapped into. Potential for beauty to abound all around that person, and for each individual to be their most unique self, and in so doing, to live a life of their own full of purpose, dignity and peace.
I've come a long way to where I am now. And I have a long way to go. But it's time for me to write to other people, for other people, for God. And that is what this website, specifically this blog, is about. Fulfilling the artistic purpose God gave to me a long time ago. I'm happy to have you along.
